So I've been loving quite a few things this month, some that are new products and some I've had for a while but here is the beauty things I've been loving this month. I'll also be doing a random favourites post in a couple days so look out for that, hope you enjoy reading
My first favourite for this month has been the POREfessional primer by benefit, I received this in the january birchbox which i did a review on here. This is the mini 7.5ml one but I think it will last quite a while. I use this everyday before my foundation and I love how it makes my skin feel really silky and smooth and I do notice a different on how long my foundation stays on for,it really helps with my oily skin and I would definitely recommend this!
Another favourite of mine from this month is a dark berry lipstick from the 'gothic glam' range by collection in the shade 1 'seduction' I've been loving dark lips this month and have been using this almost everyday, but I tone it down for school so it's more wearable and I got this from wilkinson for under £3!
Also from benefit I've been loving the erase paste concealer this month. I ran out of my collection lasting perfection concealer and was going to purchase another one when I remembered I had this one, mines in the shade 02 medium and is a bit too pinky toned for my yellow undertoned skin but when I blend it in with the right brush it looks fine and covers most of my redness, it's especially good for under my eyes.
My favourite mascara for this month has been the Avon super extend extreme mascara, it adds great length and quite a lot of volume to my lashes and I really like the look it gives, you can use it on two different sides, one is thinner and adds more length and the other side has bigger bristles, it's really hard to explain so sorry for that rubbish explanation! This is on half price at Avon at the moment down to £5 from £10.
I didn't know whether to put this product in the non-beauty or beauty favourites but just decided to add it in here as it's to do with your lips, this is the lush lip scrub in Popcorn. Now I really don't like popcorn but this just tastes really salty and quite buttery and caramelly which I suprisingly quite like! I also love how soft it makes my lips, I got this in a lush gift box that my mum ordered when lush had their half price sale but this sells for £5.50 i believe which is quite a lot but i do love it.
My favourite nail polish for this month has been the barry m matte nail polish in 'espresso' It's a real matte black colour which is my favourite type, I also have this in the burgundy wine colour called 'crush' but I find this one more wearable,it only takes 2 coats to be fully opaque and matte nails are my favourite! I found that after 2 days it started to become less matte so I go over it with a matte top coat I got from primark for 99p and it works fine! These are great for £3.99 and I would like to pick up some of the other shades.
A brush favourite for this month has been this kabuki brush which I got in one of the seventeen christmas gift sets, I love the density of this brush and I use it for power and to blend out my makeup and it works really well, unfortunately I don't think you can buy this brush separately but I'm sure there's something like it. Sorry about how dirty it is in the picture,I need to clean it.
My last favourite for this month has been my mac palette, I got the 4x4 one for £6.50 in debenhams, I already had the two eyeshadows but depotted one into this palette and the other one was pan but I love how compact the palette is and it makes it easier to carry them. I have the eyeshadows in the shades 'woodwinked' and 'da bling' which i think has now discontinued which is a shame but I really want amber lights, one because of the name as my names amber but two because it's such a gorgeous gold colour which I think would make my blue eyes stand out.
So that was my January 2014 beauty favourites, hope you enjoyed reading and thank you for 60+ followers!

Birchbox January 2014
Hello! So todays post is showing you what I got in the birchbox for this month. It was the first birchbox I've ever got as I saw their was a code for free shipping on this months box so I used some christmas money to purchase this. Also I saw every box this month contained the mini sized Benefit POREfessional!
For this month their theme was 'tiny tweaks' It came with a booklet with 30 small changes you can make to your lifestyle. I found this a very nice idea!
For this month their theme was 'tiny tweaks' It came with a booklet with 30 small changes you can make to your lifestyle. I found this a very nice idea!
It came packaged in this little box with the products wrapped in pink tissue paper, I recieved 5 mini samples and one lifestyle extra.
Benefit POREfessional: This is one of the main reasons I ordered the box this month,I've tried it once before but never owned one. It feels lovely on my skin and keeps my makeup on. The full size is £24.50 and I believe the mini is worth about £7.
Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer: I've yet to try this but my mum told me how good Phillip Kingsley products are so I'm excited to try it as it's meant to prevent breakages. I have ombre hair so the bottom is bleached and a bit damaged so I hope this helps. This is a 20ml sample but the full size retails for £27.50
Delarom Acquaconfort Mask: I'd never heard of this brand before but I'm glad I received this as I love face masks so I hope this works for my skin as it claims to hydrate and nourish the skin to restore suppleness and vitality. The full size costs £24
Lavera Basis Sensitive Hand Cream: Again, I'd never heard of this brand but I was in need of a new hand cream and I quite like the scent of this one as it contains shea butter and almond oil. It does the job and the full size only costs £4.45.
Moa The Green Balm: This is a multi-purpose all natural balm to help with eczema, psoriasis, bumps, bites, grazes, minor burns, coldsores or you can use it as a cleansing balm. Although I don't have very dry skin this can come in handy! The mini 15ml is £4.99 or you can get the 50ml for £9.99
For the lifestyle extra I received the Birchbox eye mask. It's a gel-filled mask that cools around your eye and helps decrease puffiness. It's great to use in the morning and I find it helps to wake me up. I have very sensitive eyes and I really like this. This costs £10 from the Birchbox website.
Overall I am quite happy with the birchbox for this month. It's helped me to find some new products and brands and for £10 it's a great deal.
If you want to sign up to Birchbox just use this link, they offer many different subscription deals!

The Beauty Blogger Tag
Hi! So this wasn't the original post I was going to do today but my phone photos won't transfer onto my laptop atm so for now I'll just do this tag I found, hope you enjoy!
Why did you start blogging and how long have you been blogging for?
I started blogging because I've always wanted to do youtube videos but i do NOT have the confidence to do it so I choose blogging instead. This will be my 5th post so not very long!
Whose blog did you fall in love with first?
I can't really remember I think I started looking at blogs from links off youtube videos, like zoella's etc
What was the first blogosphere hyped about product that you bought? Was it worth the hype?
I think it was mac lipsticks in general. I've only got one currently in the shade 'Morange' but i love it,really looking to buy more soon!
What are your favourite things about blogging and being a Beauty Blogger?
1. I get too talk about things I love
2. Reading others people blogs, I find them so interesting to read
3. I find out lots of new information and find new products to check out
What have you learnt from being a Beauty Blogger?
I've learnt about loads of different products I never would have tried through blogging also makeup tips!
Have you changed anything since becoming a Beauty Blogger?
Nope not really! Just made me want to buy more makeup
What advice would you give to a beauty blogger just starting out?
Well I've only just started out so I don't have much too say but take inspiration from other blogs and bloggers without copying their blog. Don't worry if you don't get tonnes of followers quickly!
What are your top 5 makeup brands?
MAC - I only own two products but I'm desperate to get more! Although the products are quite pricey compared to chanel and others it's quite reasonable
Benefit - I have quite a few minis from benefit, my favourite products I've tried are 'high beam' the 'they're real' mascara, the 'benetint' and the 'porefessional'
Revlon- For a drugstore brand they do amazing products,I really want the colourstay foundation as I have oily skin, and I love the lip butters
Maybelline- I love their mascaras my favourites being the rocket and mega plush,I have lots of products from maybelline.

January Wishlist 2014
Hello! sorry I haven't done a post in a while i've had a lot of homework and i've just been too busy. I went to one of The 1975's concerts on the 9th and it was honestly amazing!
So this is my January wishlist, I've yet to spend most of my Christmas money but these are some bits I've been wanting for a while.
Cut out boots - been wanting these for ages! I love the Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane boots but I just can't afford them, i found similar ones from new look.
Mac studio fix fluid - I've heard such good things about this foundation, with my oily skin and spots this is meant to cover them up and last all day, something I haven't managed to find in any foundations I've used.
Mac lipstick - I've got a mac lipstick in 'morange' and I love it, I'm looking to build my collection but I have no idea which one to get, I have medium skin with olive undertones so I'm not sure which ones will suit me, leave some suggestions below please!
Tartan leggings/trousers - I really love these but I think I would be too scared to wear them out. These ones are from motel rocks but any like this I would buy.
Benefit Watt's up highlighter - I have the benefit high beam highlighter and I really like how it looks, as i'm running out I need a new highlighter and this one looks equally as nice.
White asymmetrical tartan skort - topshop £34
These are just a few of the products that have caught my eye recently, hope you enjoyed reading!

Naked 3 Palette Review
This review was requested by Catherine from http://beautylovefashionthoughts.blogspot.co.uk/
So as you may know from my last blog post I was lucky enough to receive the Naked 3 palette from Urban Decay for christmas. Today I'm going to be sharing with you a review on what I think about the palette, my favourite shades and how I use the shades etc
The packaging is quite similar to the one of the Naked 2 palette because it is tin, but as you can see this one is a rose gold colour suggesting the types of colours in the palette. It also comes with a double ended shadow brush and 4 samples that each are meant to last a week of the primer potions in: original, eden, sin and anti-ageing.
(from left to right)
Strange: A pinky white matte colour, great for inner-corner highlight
Dust: A very shimmery pale pink colour, does give a bit of fall out though
Burnout: A Light pinky peach colour, a neutral tone which can be used easily
Limit: A light dusty rose matte, I love this colour for all over the lid and it looks really pretty.
Buzz: A metallic rose shimmer, with pink micro-glitter, I don't use this colour as much but it's nice to dust on top of another colour
Trick: A pinky gold colour with a little shimmer to it, I love using this in the centre of the lid and is one of my most used colours
Factory: A pinky-brown satin. I find this a brown-gold colour and I love putting it in the outer corner of my eye to darken up the look.
Mugshot: A metallic taupe shimmer with slight pink shift. I love the shimmer in this colour and the texture is very nice aswell.
Darkside: A deep taupe-mauve satin. Perfect for using in a smokey eye!
Blackheart: It's a black matte colour with red sparkles in it making it a very unique colour,I love using it and it's so pigmented!
Swatches from - http://www.frmheadtotoe.com/2013/11/review-swatches-naked-3-palette.html
My favourite look to create using this palette is a wearable daytime look.
I first take 'limit' and place it all over of my lid, then I take 'nooner' and place it in my crease, I use 'factory' in the outer part of my lid, then add 'trick' to the centre of my lid. I always use 'strange' for my inner corner highlight and if I want to darken up the look I will add a bit of 'blackheart' in the outer v of my eye.
Although this is my favourite look I've created so far using the palette there is so many more to create and all the colours look stunning together.
Overall I love this palette so much,It's my first thing from the 'naked family' but my sister and mum have the naked and naked 2 palette. This palette is so unique and has the prettiest colours in, I've used this non-stop since I received it and I recommend it to everyone. It retails at £37 but it is worth every penny!
Thank you for reading, Amber x

Liar: A medium metallic mauve shimmer. I like how this doesn't have too much shimmer in but still has enough and looks really nice on.Factory: A pinky-brown satin. I find this a brown-gold colour and I love putting it in the outer corner of my eye to darken up the look.

What I Got For Christmas 2013
*disclaimer*- I am by no means trying to show off or brag, I am grateful for everything I got given and only am doing this post because I enjoy reading/watching these blog posts/videos.
Also I know these photos aren't very good quality because they were taken on my phone, but I'm saving up to buy myself a decent camera
So Firstly in my stocking I got some chocolate and other little bits like a mint balmi lip balm.
Then for my main present from my parents they gave me £100 because they didn't know what I wanted as there was nothing I really wanted except from the naked 3 palette... which was also the next present I received. When we went to the shops on the 23rd they were sold out everywhere so I wasn't expecting one so it was a lovely suprise when I opened it as my mum had gone out late at night to get it as they were in stock online suprisingly. They also got me one of the Lush gift boxes and the one I got was 'Merry Christmas' so they dont sell it anymore unfortunately but it had 4 bath bombs inside and 1 bubble bar and they all smell amazing! They also got me a cosy head warmer (i dont know the real name) and a top which I asked for when I was with my dad.
Every year my grandma gives me and my sister a £50 note so we each got that and she was also kind enough to give me the One Direction-Our Moment perfume which I had been going on about for ages, also as a joke she got me a really cringey One Direction pillow which I thought was quite funny.
From my sister I got the little mix album 'Salute' which I had been wanting since it came out and also a nice facemask which I used tonight and it worked very well!
In my close group of friends there are 8 of us so we decided to do a secret santa which wasn't really a secret as we all found out within half an hour but Emily got me and she got me a mini impulse body spray, a nail polish, a nail decoration pack and a selection of chocolates with I've already eaten. But I was very grateful for her presents!
My godparents got me a pack of 3 bracelets and a nail polish duo from the 'Kelly Brook' range at New Look and I absolutely love the colour of them! Its an indigo blue colour and a chunky gold and silver glitter top coat.
From my family friends I got this nail set which comes with 5 mini nail varnishes, a top coat, nail wraps, nail scissors and tweezers, a nail file, a cuticle pusher and nail gems & stickers, the nail varnishes are also metallic which I dont own a lot of so I was very happy with that set
So that's it, I am very grateful for every single gift I received and love them all, I've not got a rather large amount of money to spend so I'm going to save 3/4 of it and spend the rest, I'm thinking of putting in a mac order but I dont know which lipstick to get, I've already got morange
Hope you enjoyed reading this blog post and happy an amazing christmas, oh and Happy New Year!!x
