Hi guys!
Recently I've had a complete lack of motivation to write blog posts due to me having mocks and getting caught up in all the Christmas excitement but now its the new year I am determined to focus a lot more on my blog and post regularly.
One of my other goals this year is to read more, last year i got slightly back into reading but no where near to as much as I used to when I was younger but I love just getting lost in a book to the point where I literally wont put it down until I'm finished.
Due to this goal, today I'd like to share with you some of the books that I read during 2014 and absolutely loved.
1. Alexa Chung - IT
Now as someone who's main interests are fashion and music and beauty I absolutely loved this book and read it the day I got it. I love Alexa Chung and this book is so aesthetically pleasing I just love taking pictures of it. I completely adore the way she wrote an autobiography that truly expresses and is focused on her love of music and fashion.
2. Rainbow Rowell - Fangirl
When I first heard of this book I thought it would completely suit me as I myself, am a slight fan girl. I absolutely loved reading this book and there was some things in there that I think are easily relatable with teenagers. I also read Eleanor & Park in 2014 which is by the same author which I did like but I didn't really get into it as much and I really do not like the ending.
3. Looking For Alaska - John Green
This has got to be one of my favourite ever books, In my opinion it is so much better than tfios and I just love the whole storyline and how it was written. I don't know what else to say about it but if you haven't read it yet then please read it!
4. Paper Towns - John Green
Wow another John Green book how surprising! I still dont know whether I prefer this or Looking For Alaska because they're both so good and I am so so excited for the film.
5. Divergent - Veronica Roth
I went to go see the film of this when it came out in April after hearing that it was a sort of similar style dystopia-world film like The Hunger Games. Which is my absolutely favourite book/film series
and I absolutely loved it so went and bought the book the next day and finished it the same day, since then I have read the second book and am so excited to go see Insurgent when it comes out.
Hope you've enjoyed reading these books and let me know if you've ready any of these or would like to recommend me anymore books!
- Amber

OOTD:STRIPED DRESS
DRESS: ZARA
SHOES: NEW LOOK
I absolutely love wearing stripes so when I saw this dress I automatically fell in love with it, and even more so when I tried it on. It is perfect for autumn/winter as it is a medium-thickness fabric so would provide extra warmth but can also be layered when really cold with a jumper and tights. I also love the fact the dress has vertical stripes at the sides as it just adds a unique touch to the dress making it more interesting.
I paired this dress with my chunky black chelsea boots and a red lipstick, as I love wearing bold lipsticks with black and white clothes for a little pop of colour. I will definitely be wearing this dress loads and what's even more amazing is the fact I picked it up for just £19.99.

Birchbox January 2014
Hello! So todays post is showing you what I got in the birchbox for this month. It was the first birchbox I've ever got as I saw their was a code for free shipping on this months box so I used some christmas money to purchase this. Also I saw every box this month contained the mini sized Benefit POREfessional!
For this month their theme was 'tiny tweaks' It came with a booklet with 30 small changes you can make to your lifestyle. I found this a very nice idea!
For this month their theme was 'tiny tweaks' It came with a booklet with 30 small changes you can make to your lifestyle. I found this a very nice idea!
It came packaged in this little box with the products wrapped in pink tissue paper, I recieved 5 mini samples and one lifestyle extra.
Benefit POREfessional: This is one of the main reasons I ordered the box this month,I've tried it once before but never owned one. It feels lovely on my skin and keeps my makeup on. The full size is £24.50 and I believe the mini is worth about £7.
Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer: I've yet to try this but my mum told me how good Phillip Kingsley products are so I'm excited to try it as it's meant to prevent breakages. I have ombre hair so the bottom is bleached and a bit damaged so I hope this helps. This is a 20ml sample but the full size retails for £27.50
Delarom Acquaconfort Mask: I'd never heard of this brand before but I'm glad I received this as I love face masks so I hope this works for my skin as it claims to hydrate and nourish the skin to restore suppleness and vitality. The full size costs £24
Lavera Basis Sensitive Hand Cream: Again, I'd never heard of this brand but I was in need of a new hand cream and I quite like the scent of this one as it contains shea butter and almond oil. It does the job and the full size only costs £4.45.
Moa The Green Balm: This is a multi-purpose all natural balm to help with eczema, psoriasis, bumps, bites, grazes, minor burns, coldsores or you can use it as a cleansing balm. Although I don't have very dry skin this can come in handy! The mini 15ml is £4.99 or you can get the 50ml for £9.99
For the lifestyle extra I received the Birchbox eye mask. It's a gel-filled mask that cools around your eye and helps decrease puffiness. It's great to use in the morning and I find it helps to wake me up. I have very sensitive eyes and I really like this. This costs £10 from the Birchbox website.
Overall I am quite happy with the birchbox for this month. It's helped me to find some new products and brands and for £10 it's a great deal.
